The Phantom 6000 is a double layered boot designed for climbing 6000m peaks or cold weather alpinism
The Phantom 6000 is designed to be warm, tough and lightweight, perfect for climbing 6000m Himalayan peaks. The Outer shell is made from a mix of high tenacity KCN-Tech nylon and the aptly named Super Fabric for superior abrasion resistant against crampon wear. The shell is also laminated with an Outdry waterproof membrane and sealed with the burly waterproof flexseal zip. The outsole has been designed to really save weight where it matters, with a hybrid rubber and EVA construction that offers more insulation than a conventional sole.
Under the gaiter is a boot constructed from lightweight and supportive Microtech, laminated with cork and EVA for insulation, and fastened with the fast lock lacing system (designed to be easy to operate even wearing thick gloves). The double pull tab make them easy to get on and off.
The removeable “Altitude 6000” inner boot is lined with micropile Primaloft closest to the foot, with a 2mm high density EVA insulation layer and a silver PU film to maximise warmth. The sole is further insulated with 4mm EVA to reduce conductive heat loss. A double pull tab and big Velcro closure make them super-easy to get on and off, and the sole has an anti-slip pattern for quick trips out in the snow!
